NOC codes in the 2021 corpus. Every applicant must select exactly one. The wrong selection is a top cause of CEC and FSW refusal.
2-Gate
Officers apply two tests: lead-statement satisfaction, then "most of the main duties." We score your evidence against both, in writing.
Direct Quotes
Every duty match cites a direct quote from your reference letter. No paraphrases. No invented evidence — built to the standard an officer expects to see.
5 Bands
High · Good · Moderate · Low · Insufficient. We never overstate. If no NOC is a strong match, we say so honestly.

✓ Pulled the text from . AI extraction isn't perfect — please review the duties below before continuing: • Put each duty on its own line (not one long paragraph) — separating the duties gives a more accurate NOC match. • Remove anything that isn't a duty — computer or software skills (e.g. MS Office, Excel), language ability, and personal qualities are skills, not job duties. • Fix any misread words — scans and phone photos can drop or garble text, so read the duties against your letter.
Or Paste Text
Paste verbatim from the reference letter. For the most accurate match, put each duty on its own line and leave out non-duties (skills, software, language ability). Minimum 150 characters describing the duties.
Work Setting & Context (optional — improves accuracy)
These questions are optional, but answering them can improve the NOC recommendation.
Many occupations look identical on duties alone and are separated only by where the work happened, who the employer was, and the function within the organization. These answers support, but never override, the documented duties.
The physical environment where the work happened. For many occupations (care, childcare, food, trades, admin) the workplace is part of the official NOC definition.
Employer type helps identify industry-specific occupations and distinguish similar positions in different sectors (e.g. a medical-office secretary vs a legal secretary).
Helps distinguish worker-level, supervisor-level, and management-level occupations. Note: this only counts if the supervision is actually reflected in the documented duties — an officer reads supervisory scope from the letter, so the duties must support it.
Distinguishes occupations that share an employer or location but perform different functions (e.g. Procurement Officer vs Logistics Coordinator; HR Coordinator vs Payroll Administrator).
Only for unusual circumstances not captured above. Supplementary context — it does not override the documented duties.
